George Scott practiced law in Cloverdale for forty years during which time he lived in Surrey and White Rock with his wife, Edna. Together they raised three children Janice, Blake and Elaine (predeceased).
In 1991, after Edna's death, he married Beth Rowles. They lived joyfully together until George's death on August 14, 2020. Beth was by his side.
In 1993 George and Beth founded the organization ACCES (African Canadian Continuing Education Society) which has assisted thousands of children and youth in Kenya to go to school. ACCES continues to thrive.
People loved George for his kindness, endless energy and sense of fun. Stories abound about his folksy sayings and his ability to relate an anecdote to relevant situations. George's wide knowledge, experience and character made him a wise counsel and good friend.
George is deeply mourned by his wife, Beth; children Janice Leclerc and Blake Scott (Darlene); and grandsons, Steven Leclerc (Lara) and Brendan and Eric Scott (Jennifer).
Memorial Service will be held at Victory Gardens, Surrey, B.C. on the anniversary of his birth, September 16, 2020 at 2 pm.
