George Edward McMULLEN

June 5, 2008

McMULLEN, George Edward, our loving father, grandfather and reat-grandfather passed away peacefully on June 5, 2008, at Peace Arch Hospital in White Rock. George was born in Woodbridge, Ontario, on January 14, 1920. He is predeceased by his wife Charlotte (nee Munro) and survived by their 3 children, Elizabeth Lyons (Jerry), Dennis McMullen (Heather) and Cindy McMullen (Vern Weber), his 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

George loved his family, animals, the outdoors, fishing, travelling, new adventures and just about everything life had to offer. He was a fighter; in spite of great adversity, he was unstoppable.

An author, gifted psychometrist and intuitive archaeologist, he travelled extensively to fulfill his appetite for knowledge and his love of the ancient world. Oblivious to extremes in climatic conditions and inhospitable environments, George thrived on searching for lost civilizations, solving unsolved crimes and assisting in the search for missing persons. He was well known, loved and respected within his community of peers and colleagues.

George was a wonderful story teller and we loved to hear stories of his travels and adventures. Now that he has embarked on his last journey, perhaps the most amazing one of all, we are sad that he will not be able to share this adventure with us. With tender, loving hearts, he is deeply missed by his family and many friends.

We wish to extend our deepest gratitude to Dr. Larry Darby and the medical staff at Peace Arch Hospital.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Peace Arch Hospital Foundation.

There will be a private family memorial.
