Georgie passed away peacefully September 12, with family by her side. She was born in Vancouver 94 years ago to Charlie and Crissie Messenger. Mom graduated from both UBC and VGH School of Nursing, became a pediatric nurse, and soon after married Bill.
Her nursing classmates became her life long friends. She and Bill had a great life together working, travelling and raising their family.
Life for Mom and Dad revolved around friends, family, and good times at Nico Wynd, Point Roberts and Napili Kai.
She is survived and will be missed by her 3 children Jane(Phil),Anne (David) and Bill (Jackie), 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, sister-in-law Eunice Messenger, Rachel, Mieka, and their families.
She was predeceased by husband Bill, brother Art, and later in life, companion Len.
Many thanks to long time helper, companion and friend, Sandy. Also to her wonderful caregivers, Nieves and Ester. Mom's final year was spent in the caring community of Deltaview.
Many thanks to all the staff there who made this final stage of Georgie's life so peaceful. There will be a family gathering in the near future.
