BLAND – Gerald Davis (Jerry) passed away peacefully on December 26, 2005 at age 91. Jerry is now at rest with his wife Norma (died September 2004). Born September 15, 1914 in Toronto, Ont. Jerry joined the RCAF in 1941. He was active in battle in North Africa and Italy. Following the war Jerry continued his career in the Air Force with commissions throughout Canada, retiring in 1962 at the rank of Squadron Leader.
In the course of his business career, his family lived in Ottawa, Carrying Place, Toronto, Ont. and White Rock, BC. Jerry, his wife Norma and his son David were active in residential construction in Ontario and BC during the 1970s and 80s. Jerry enjoyed an active retirement in White Rock involved in golf, curling, lawn bowling, bridge and many seaside walks. Jerry is survived by his son David, daughter
Barbara (Lorne), and grandchildren, Emma and Madeline. Jerry will also be missed by many dear friends made and cherished over the course of his wonderful life. No service by request: a gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date.
