October 1, 1920 - August 3, 2018
Born October 1, 1920 in Steinbach, Manitoba, Gideon passed away peacefully into the presence of the LORD on Friday, August 3rd in White Rock, BC.
He was predeceased by his loving wife of 30 years, Muriel, in 1977 and by his second wife, Kathleen in 2005.
He is survived by his faithful companion Gladys, his sons Ian (Terri), Ray, Noel (Suzette), his daughters Irene (Scottie), Marion (companion Neil), Diane (Rick) & Carolyn (Norbert), as well as his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. We, his family, will continue to cherish his memory "until we meet again".
Gideon was a man of great faith; he was actively involved in the church and served the Lord throughout his life. A builder by trade, he will be remembered for "building his house upon the solid Rock".
"Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it....." Psalm 127:1.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 19th at 2:00 pm at Valley View Funeral Centre located at 14644-72 Avenue in Surrey, BC.
