Anne was in her 90th year, when she passed away peacefully at Delta View Care Home.
Predeceased by her husband Archie in 1995, and her six brothers & sisters, she will lovingly be remembered by her daughters, Laurie (Ross), Dawne (George), son Brad (Jennifer), her adoring grandchildren, Geoff, Nicola and Luke and many nephews & nieces.
Anne & Archie married in 1952 and moved to Ocean Park in 1955 where they built their home and lived a happy, memorable life. As a teacher, Anne started a kindergarten (1959) at Crescent United Church fulfilling a community need. Anne continued to serve the community through volunteer activities and remained a strong, contributing member of the Church for over 60 years.
Mum had a rewarding and active life. She curled, (she was a founding member of the Peace Arch Curling Club), golfed, traveled, played bridge, lawn bowled and was a member of PEO. Throughout her whole life Mum was an exceptionally kind person who always showed love, graciousness, and compassion for others which has inspired and blessed all of us in her family.
The family is thankful for the special care and kindness that Dr. R. Davidson and the staff of Delta View provided Mum these past two years. In lieu of flowers, donations to the BC Cancer Foundation or the Alzheimer's Society of BC would be appreciated.
A service to celebrate Anne's life will be held at Crescent United Church 2765 127 St. Surrey on Saturday, May 12 at 2:00 pm.
