Harry George BILLINGSLEY

July 7, 2009

BILLINGSLEY, Harry George

With much sadness we announce the passing of Harry on July 7, 2009. Harry is survived by his loving family; Betty, wife and caregiver of 65 years, sons John and Jim (Patti), grandchildren Jamie (Kelly), Lindsay (Jean-Paul) & Julia, and great granddaughter baby Abigail.

After graduating from Lord Byng, Harry joined the RCAF at 18 and went on to complete a tour of 40 missions as a navigator on Halifax Bombers. He earned the Distinguished Flying Cross in 1945. Upon returning to Canada he graduated from UBC and became a CGA. He retired as Regional Director of Customs and Excise in 1978.

Always a family man, he enjoyed golf and boating and retired to Ocean park 25 years ago. His 21 year battle with Parkinson's was born with patience and dignity.

So many thanks to our friends and care givers in home and at Westminster House and our dear Virginia. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson's Society of BC, Suite 600, 890 West Pender Street, Vancouver BC, V6C 1J9. A service of Celebration and Remembrance at Saint Marks, Ocean Park, 12953 20th Avenue, Surrey at 2 pm Friday, July 17, 2009.

We will love you always Dad!
