SILVERSTEIN, Harry
January 21, 1927 - September 12, 2009
It is with deep sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Harry Silverstein on Sept. 12th, 2009. Son of the late David and Molly Silverstein. Beloved husband of Donna, dear father of Lorne (Rita), Steve (Julia), Ellen (Gerry), Susan (Chin), Gail (Albert). Cherished grandfather of Heather, Jessica, Laura, Ilana, Lilyan, Henry & Leana. Loving brother of Gertie Chaimberg and the late Saul and Max Silverstein.
With a devoted community spirit he touched the lives of many and dedicated, countless years as a volunteer with both the Jewish General Hospital (Montreal) and The Peace Arch Hospital (W, Rock) and signed up hundred of New Businesses with The White Rock Chamber of Commerce. All who knew Harry will lovingly recall his upbeat spirit and his positive attitude and outlook on life, he found endless joy in everyday living and enjoyed endless traveling with Donna, excited at every turn.
A Celebration of his Life will take place in October, date and location will be announced at a later date. Donations in his memory can be made to The Peace Arch Hospital Foundation.
