Maclean (née Pozniak), Helen born May 30, 1949, in Creston, B.C., passed away peacefully with family by her side on October 1, 2023 in White Rock, B.C. She is lovingly remembered by her partner Blake Stewart and his family; her sons Cameron (Kim) and Craig (Cara); her 5 grandchildren Connor, Cole, Sydney, Gavin and Graeme; her brother Walt, sister Nancy; nieces, nephews, and a loving extended family, special friends Ron and Marilyn Rebagliati, and Caroline Fitton; her condo community, motorcycle group, and many colleagues and friends from her long teaching career in Langley School District.

Helen was predeceased by her husband Alastair in 2015, after spending a wonderful 36-plus years together. She was a loving mother and wife with many fond memories of family feasts in Surrey, summer gatherings at Cultus Lake, trips to Montana and Nevada, and long walks at White Rock and Crescent Beach. Helen met the next love of her life Blake in 2020. The two of them travelled and spent winters in Hawaii. They enjoyed day rides for charity on the Spyder and participated in several week-long trips with members of the Spyder club. Blake lovingly supported Helen during her illness and was always by her side. A teacher at heart, Helen's rich and vibrant professional life reflected her belief that teaching is a calling and students are our future, guiding them through many subjects including sports, business, computers, and career planning. Helen had an engaging personality and compassionate ear, always supporting and connecting family, friends and the community. She loved gardening and was known for her cooking, particularly her homemade pickles, the best in the land. She had a great sense of humour and famously responded to wit with an amused eye roll and snort. You were a very kind and special person Helen and are already missed.
