Helen YULE

YULE Helen A. (nee Neuman) passed away 06 May 2012 in White Rock after a long battle with congestive heart failure. Predeceased by Doug, her caring husband of 57+ years, survived by daughter Brenda Yule Brice, son John (Shirley), loving grandchildren Trevor (Morgan), Riley, and Lianna Brice and their father John Brice. Also survived by brothers Louis (Dorothy) and Victor. Born 22 Apr. 1923 near Dysart, SK, the 7th of 10 children. Helen spent her youth in and around Regina. In 1942 she left home becoming a WW2 Rosie the Riveter. She met RCN seaman Doug Yule while working in Hamilton in 1943. They married in 1945. Helen & Doug lived in Richmond for many years before moving to White Rock in 1989. Helen was a wonderful cook and homemaker, mother, and grandmother. She was an avid curler, and a hockey and football fan. She will be greatly missed by family and her many friends including her Pacifica buddies and the Richmond River Drive Sewing Circle.
