SIEG, Horst May 2, 1932 - Dec. 12, 2012
Horst Sieg of South Surrey passed away suddenly at home on December 12, 2012. He was born in Klein Rosainen, West Prussia. In January 1959 Horst married Barbara and they immigrated to Canada in the spring of 1960. They settled in South Surrey in 1965 where they raised their two children Oscar and Heidi.
Horst was employed by Conforce Precast Company in Richmond. He became welding supervisor and worked there for thirty-two years before retiring in 1995. He was predeceased by his wife, Barbara, who died in 1986. He is survived by his wife, Rosie, his brother Walter and family in Germany, his cousin Martin and family, and children: Oscar Sieg, Heidi Hartwell, (Kevan), Richard Brinkert, (Ingrid) Kerry Brinkert, (Tobi) Ross Brinkert, (Colby) as well as grandchildren: Kurtis, Melanie, Christien, Nicholas, Eshen, Sagan, Justice, and Logan.
Memorial Service will be held Friday, December 21, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, 2350-148 St., Surrey. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the charity of your choice or to Lutheran World Relief @ Mount Olive Lutheran Church.
