1946-2020 ~ Ian passed away gently on October 15, 2020 in Surrey after an unkind 10-year struggle with Parkinson's.
Born in Perth, Scotland in 1946, Ian emigrated to Canada in 1956. He grew up and went to school in West Vancouver and graduated from UBC in 1972.
Ian spent most of his working life in the heavy machinery business. He is survived by his wife, Alyth; his daughter and her family Alison & Nathan Pope (Mitch Mackay); his son Jamie McDougall in Spokane and his family, Hilary, Amelia and Kellen.
Ian is also survived by his extended family, the Williams, Wrights and Wharrams.
Ian was never happier than when he was on the ocean behind the wheel of his boat, which is how we would like him to be remembered.
