CALLAR, IRENE MARY
Irene Callar, formerly of Meaford, passed away at Peace Arch Hospital in White Rock, BC on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at the age of 89.
Irene was born in Toronto, a daughter of the late Frederick and Ethel (née Turton) Taylor. She was predeceased by her husband Alfred Taylor and by her long time companion Ron Bentley.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters Marlene Stoodley of Bramalea, and Judy Jones of Surrey, BC.
Irene was the much loved grandmother and great-grandmother of Steven Stoodley and his children Justin and Gabriel, Julie Smith and her husband Doug and their children Sarah and Adam, Kevin Stoodley and his wife Pema, Michele Jones (Eric) and son Evan, David Jones and son Sebastian and Darryl Jones and his daughter Ashleigh.
A brother Reginald Taylor of London and Allan Taylor of Rexdale survive Irene and she was predeceased by a sister Margaret Hart and by a brother Lawrence 'Larry' Taylor and his wife Beryl.
Irene will be sorely missed by her extended family of Deb Yapp of Bramalea, Carol Moore of Surrey, BC, and Matthew (Sarah) Moore and Jordon Moore also of Surrey.
A time of remembrance and sharing with family will be conducted in the common room at Irene's late residence 1701 130th Street, Surrey on Thursday, December 31st from 1 until 4 o'clock.
As your expression of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
