Irene Mary Kellington - on December 19, 2003 our beloved mother and grandmother died peacefully in the presence of her family. Predeceased by her husband, Harold Kellington in 1984. Survived by her sons Peter (Beverley Reid) and Terry; her grandchildren Michael Kellington, Sarah Dawson (Rob), Jasmine Kellington, David Reid (Karrie Anne), Robin Reid (Kim), Thomas Reid (Kella), Matthew Reid (Martha), and Jennifer Palmer; her great-grandchildren Aidan Kellington and Keely Dawson. Irene is also survived by her sister-in-law and great friend, Lillian Bickerton and numerous nieces and nephews.
Born in Revelstoke, B.C. in 1910, Irene was a graduate of the Royal Columbian School of Nursing and for many years nursed at the Royal Columbian Hospital.
A reception to honor her memory will be held on January 3, 2004 from 2 - 4 p.m. in the the afternoon at 1280 Fir Street, White Rock followed by a private family service for the interment of her ashes at St. Mary Magdalene Church, Mayne Island, B.C.
