Sadly Irene passed away Sept 27, 2022 surrounded by her family finally pain free. An incredibly strong person Irene never gave up in her 5 year fight with a rare cancer.
Born Sept 11, 1944 at St Joseph's in Toronto and by age 3 her now deceased parents Pat and Mary Cain began to build themselves the forever Cain family home on Parkland Ave in what is now Mississauga.
Irene attended St Mary's Catholic School and St Christopher's before attending Lorne Park Secondary and graduating from South Waterloo Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Galt now called Cambridge.
After working in Toronto and with a plan to work in Hawaii, Irene moved west to Vancouver where she worked in several high profile Doctors' clinics until David was borne in 1978.
Irene and Lowell fell in love soon after meeting on Kits Beach in 1969 and recently celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary Jul 15.
Irene is deeply loved and will be forever missed by husband Lowell, son David, daughter Amanda, her husband Raihan, grandchildren Beckett and Romy Schmidt, older brother John Cain, younger sisters Maryanne Kawano, Louise Cain and every person she met.
