Isabel May MALOWNEY

May 30, 1910 - November 8, 2006

Isabel passed away peacefully due to causes incident of old age.

Her life was filled with accomplishment and adventure as she traveled with her late husband Ralph (deceased January 2001) the coastal waters of B.C. in the RIMP lV. Their association with the Canadian Power (and Sail) Squadron was rewarding and happy as long-time members.

Isabel was skilled and would knit the most beautiful sweaters for her family. Strangers would often stop Peter and Myrna on the street to remark "What a beautiful sweater, did you knit that?" Peter would chuckle!

Isabel had gifted literary abilities and her family is rewarded with her written legacy of insight, humour and anecdotes. These are particularly interesting as it illuminates the uniqueness of the life she and Ralph had when they were on the Inside Passage.

Their participation at St. Mark's Anglican Church, Ocean Park, was consistent with the Christian values they held dearly.

Isabel is survived by son Peter (Charlee), grandchildren Mark and Tia, daughter Myrna (Lorne), Lorne's five sons, two daughters-in-law and three great-grandchildren.

Our Mother is dearly missed and will be forever remembered with the loving kindness that she inspired in those who knew her.

Isabel and her family are most grateful to have had the most deeply kind, loving and tender care by the staff during her time spent at the Dr. Al Hogg Pavilion.

A Memorial Service will be held at St. Mark's Anglican Church, Ocean Park on Saturday November 18th, 2006 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to a charity of your choice in remembrance of Isabel.
