BARIL (née Broughton), Islay Mary Oct. 9, 1909 - June 7, 2008
After a long and good life, Islay Baril passed away peacefully with her daughters at her bedside at the Peace Arch Hospital in White Rock.
Predeceased by her husband Roland and her daughter Janet, she will be greatly missed by her daughters Germaine, Marguerite (Ted), Bernice, Diane, and her son David (Deborah), her seven grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren. A woman of grace, strength and love, and always a lady, she will remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Ocean Promenade Hotel, 15611 - Marine Drive (east beach), White Rock on Saturday, June 14th, at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Islay's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
