Isobel Davidge passed away peacefully at Surrey Memorial Hospital with her husband Neal and son Trevor by her side after a short but courageous battle with brain cancer.
Isobel was born in New Westminster, BC where she grew up attending both elementary and secondary school. She was born to James and Minnie (Donna) Garrett (Nee Kennedy) on
Aug 26th 1949. Isobel joined Canadian Pacific Airlines then Canadian Airlines as a flight attendant retiring in 1999 after over 28 years of service. Isobel had many diverse interests which she made into positive actions. She started and successfully ran White Rock Party Rentals before selling the business in the early 1980's. She later attended the Boerma Institute of the International Floral Design School in Holland and received her professional Dutch Floral Design diploma. She then created and ran Rosemary Heights Flower Market in South Surrey for over six years before retiring. Isobel loved music and was an accomplished trombonist as well as cellist.
Isobel is survived by her loving husband and partner of over 40 years Neal, son Trevor, and son Glen, his wife Jessica, granddaughter Madison, grandsons James and Robert, brother Dan, numerous cousins, niece, nephews, god-daughter and friends.
It is with the deepest gratitude and thanks to her family doctor and friend, Dr. Wally Rebeyka, the entire medical staff of palliative care of SMH N52 and Dr. Caroline Mariano and the other cancer doctors and medical staff of RCH which looked after Isobel over this stressful time.
A celebration of Isobel's life will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 2 pm at St. Mark's Anglican Church, 12953 20th Ave, Surrey (Ocean Park), BC.
