Ivy Funk passed away September 28, 2002 in Surrey Memorial Hospital.
The family greatly appreciates the care and attention that was given by the doctors and hospital staff. We would also like to extend a special thanks to Pastor Fryer for his daily visits and prayers.
Ivy is predeceased by her husband Abe Funk in 1985 and son Ronald in 1949. Ivy is survived by her daughters Shirley Mainse and Rhonda (Gordon) Lynn; grandchildren Erin Mainse, Randy (Anna) Mainse, Rose (Andrew) Oosterman, Abbey Mainse, Tony (Heidi) Lynn, Greg (Marina) Lynn; great grandchildren Michael, Melanie and Mark Mainse, Amanda Oosterman and Matthew Lynn.
A heart of gold stopped beating
Working hands at rest,
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best.
Leaves and flowers may wither,
The golden sun may set
But the hearts that loved you dearly
Are the ones that won't forget.
A memorial service will be held at the Newton Fellowship Baptist Church, Saturday, October 5, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. Pastor David Wiebe officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Ivy may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.
