Jack NIEMANN

July 12, 2016

NIEMANN, Jack Hans

Born September 18, 1938, passed away on Tuesday July 12th, 2016 after a long battle with heart problems. He leaves his wife Christine, his children Benno (Cindy), Alan (Laurie), Isabel (Jeff), stepson Sandro (Michele) brother Herb, sisters Tutti, Ilse & Helga; grandchildren, nieces and nephews and many friends.

Jack was the founder and owner of the first Jack Niemann's Black Forest Steak and Schnitzel House in White Rock, B.C. in 1968. In later years Jack went on to open other Black Forest Restaurants in Blaine Wa, Everson WA and Bellingham WA. He acquired CJ's Beach House a few years ago and was still involved in its operation until his passing.

Jack was passionate about his restaurants, placing so much energy, creativity and artistry into his work. He had a generous heart and ironically, it was this same heart which failed him in the end. Jack has left a legacy and his name will survive in the hearts and minds of his family, his friends, his staff and his many appreciative patrons.

A memorial will be held on August 7, 2016 from 1:00-4:00pm at 1775 Front Street (Rotary Club) Lynden, WA.
