ALP; Jacqueline Barbara

Passed away suddenly April 2, 2016.

Jacquie was born November 20, 1934 in Condor, Alberta, the eldest daughter of James and Elizabeth Lecerf. She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Edmund Alp, and her children Beverly (David), Bryan (Karen), Barbara (Andre), Bonnie (Gord) & Tim (Sharon). Devoted to her grandchildren, Justine, James, Ben, Madison, Desiree, Ryley, Jayden, and Mason, she was always their biggest fan and trusted confidant. Jacquie loved Ed dearly and loved her family unconditionally, and was always there to help her husband and kids when they needed her most. She loved travelling, gardening, shopping, Par 3 Golf, walking their dog Bailey, a nice glass of wine and going for lunches, but most of all she loved spending time with family. She was the foundation of our family, always making sure everyone was happy and never asking for anything in return. It is impossible to find the perfect words to describe Jacquie, because she meant so much to so many. Whether it was from cooking a person’s favorite meal, to reading her favourite books or mastering the game of Sudoku, she always kept busy. She was a dedicated Catholic who never missed Sunday mass no matter where she was. But more than anything else she put her family first. There will not be a day that goes by that we won’t miss her and think of her, and her legacy will live on through the love she taught and gave to all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Star of the Sea Parish, White Rock (Memo: Syrian Family Refugee Fund).
