MILLER, James Claire
July 13, 1912 - May 14, 2007
Claire passed away peacefully at Peace Arch Hospital in his 95th year. Predeceased by his wife Dorothy; three children Donald, Arlene and Wayne; one sister and five brothers. Survived by his friend and companion Elsie Grigg; daughter-in-law Elaine Morgan; son-in-law Ray Oban; 10 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Claire loved sports and was a member of many championship teams. He played lacrosse, soccer, softball and loved to bowl. Claire was in the Plywood Business for many years in B.C. and moved to Olympia, Washington in 1961 to be superintendent at St. Regis Plywood. In later years he enjoyed travelling and social activities with family and friends. Following a private family funeral a Celebration of his Life will be held at the Elks Hall at 1469 George Street, White Rock, B.C. on Saturday May 26th from 3 to 6 pm. Sincere thanks to the medical staff at Peace Arch Hospital. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Claire's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society.
