James "Keith" Stuart

1928-2014


It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of James "Keith" Stuart on Tuesday, March 25 at the age of 85 years. Keith is survived by his wife Denise (nee Molyneux), sons Jeff and Lorne (Calgary), grand-daughter Janna (Calgary), brothers Alan (Edmonton) and Douglas (Anne) (Burlington), along with numerous nieces and nephews. Keith was born in Winnipeg and spent his childhood there.

After one year of university where he studied geology, Keith joined the Dominion Bank in 1948 and had stints in Winnipeg, Saskatoon and Atikokan Ontario. In 1973 he was transferred to Regina and he finished his career there. After more than 39 years with Toronto-Dominion, Keith and Denise retired to South Surrey in 1988. As a young man Keith loved motorcycles and often worked on his own bike. Keith was fond of the water and enjoyed sailing. He was an avid gardener, loved to paint, and also spent time making his own wine. He was also an excellent carpenter having built his own sailboat which he christened "The Loon". Keith and Denise spent time travelling including visits to California, Florida, Alaska, Fiji and New Zealand, England & Scotland. A Memorial Service will be held at Victory Memorial Park, 14831 28 Avenue in South Surrey on Thursday, April 10 at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Peace Arch Hospice in White Rock.
