SELBIE, James (Sandy) December 28, 1934 to June 16, 2012. Passed away suddenly after a brief illness with pulmonary fibrosis. Survived by his loving wife, Betty of 57 years, son Ian, and grandchildren, Leah, Nicole, Julie and Mitchell; daughter Laura Shields (Jack) and grandchildren Sarah and Kathryn and many close friends. Sandy and family emigrated from Scotland in 1963 making Vancouver their new home. He lived a very full and rich life and worked hard. Sandy will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him. A special thanks to all the staff at Irene Thomas Hospice in Ladner. A Celebration of Sandy's life will be held at Victory Memorial Park Funeral Centre, 14831 28th Avenue, Surrey, BC on Saturday, June 23rd at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Sandy's name to the Irene Thomas Hospice, 4635 Clarence Taylor Crescent, Delta, BC, V4K 4L8.
