March 13, 1929 - June 24, 2008

Jimmy passed away peacefully at Peach Arch Hospital at the age of 79 with family at his side. He was born in Paisley, Scotland and moved to White Rock in 1957. Jimmy was an active member of his community. He served in the British Army in the Royal Corps signals, was a letter carrier for Canada Post White Rock for 25 years, volunteered as a fire fighter in White Rock, community policing in South Surrey and was a founding member of White Rock United soccer club.

He is survived by his loving wife Joyce of 54 years. He will be deeply cherished and fondly remembered by his brother Eric and loving children Garry (Angela) and Linda and also by his grandchildren Meaghan (Tret), Taryn and Kelsey and great grandson Brayden.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Star of the Sea, 1153 Fir St., White Rock on Mon June 30/08 @11:00am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the B.C. Cancer Foundation. The family would like to thank hospital staff palliative care unit at Peace Arch Hospital for their kindness and support.
