Noftle: Janie May passed away peacefully at Evergreen Baptist Care Home on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011 at the age of 86. Janie will be lovingly missed and dearly remembered by her two sisters Emily and Evelyn and many nieces and nephews. She was a beloved friend to many and a light and inspiration to her niece and namesake Janie Thistle. She was instrumental in the start of Semiahmoo House Society here in White Rock and a deaconess for the United Church in Rolling Hills, Alberta in the mid 60’s. She touched the heart of everyone who knew her. A memorial service will be held at First United Church, 15385 Semiahmoo Ave. White Rock on Friday Dec.16, 2011 at 2pm.
