May 7, 1929 - August 8, 2008

It is with much sadness, the family of Jean Jensen announces her death at Peace Arch Hospital after a long illness, She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Ron Jensen, her parents Tom and Gladys Kenyon and her nephew Kyle Dreger.

Jean spent her childhood and early adult life in Cypress River MB, graduating with Grade 12. Along with her phenomenal memory for numbers and facts, she had a musical talent, playing the piano, organ and accordion by ear.

Fifty years ago, she moved to the Vancouver area making her home in White Rock for the past 20 years. She most recently enjoyed living in the Evergreen Heights Assisted Living Complex.

In 1974, she married Ron Jensen. For over 30 years they were constant companions. They, and later she could be frequently seen at the Semiahmoo Mall enjoying a friendly greeting from a multitude of people especially Deep,

Sonny and Mark at Nibblers in the Food Court. Jean felt loved and supported by the "Muffin Gang" who met at a particular table in the Mall on Saturdays. She also found community and support at the White Rock Baptist Church. She will be lovingly remembered for her acceptance of difficult situations, her appreciation of friendship offered and her ability to comfort and forgive.

She will be missed by her sister Phyllis Lamb, brother and sister-in-law Bob and Muriel Kenyon, sister and brother-in-law Carlee and Clancy Dreger, many nieces and nephews she loved as her own as well as her special friends Michele and Ariel.

A memorial Service was held in the White Rock Baptist Church on August 11th. Burial will take place at home in Cypress River in September.

The family is grateful to all who touched her life. She will be missed.
