Joan passed peacefully at home on April 27th. She is survived by her best friend and husband John Edwards, daughters Debbie Gonzales, Joanne (Phil) Groves, Deb Blaney, 8 grandchildren: Christopher, William (Sarah) Gonzales; James (Kristy) and Alexander Cooper, Robert, Michaela, Lexie and Maddie Blaney, and 2 great- grandchildren: Isaiah and Zephyr.
Born in 1941, Joan lived her life with humour and grace in Vancouver's Lower Mainland and had an extensive administrative career which included 25 years with the Federal Government.
A long-time friend of Bill W. and Dr. Bob, Joan lived her faith, one day at a time, until the end. Her friends and community were a source of joy and strength, which radiated to all who surrounded her. Joan was admired by many and her good humour and wit will be missed.
