With great sadness we announce the passing of Joan Olive Watts, age 94, on April 12, 2018 at Peace Arch Hospital in White Rock, B.C.
Joan was born in Ponders End, Middlesex, England and immigrated to Canada in 1944.
Joan is survived by her daughter Shirley (Robert), son Barry (Helen), niece Lesley, grandchildren Ann (Mark), Michael, Meg (Matt) and great-grandchildren Emma, Maisie and Marella. She was predeceased by her husband Albert and sister Dorothy. Joan leaves behind several extended family members and good friends.
A gathering for family and friends will be held at a later date.
The family would like to thank the staff at Peace Arch Hospital for their gentle care and kindness.
In lieu of flowers we would appreciate donations to Peace Arch Hospice Society.
Our Nanny will be lovingly remembered for her sense of humour and positive outlook on life. Her fortitude is an inspiration.
