October 7, 1923 - June 3, 2006
John, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and dear friend, passed away peacefully at the Peace Arch Hospital in White Rock on the 3rd of June, 2006 at the age of 82. John is survived by his wife Helen, to whom he has been married for 63 years; his son John; daughter Barbara, four grandchildren David, Sarah, Jenny and Jennifer; four great-grandchildren Tom, Emma, Jamie and Jasper.
John and Helen spent many happy years at their holiday home in Maui and visited England on many occasions where their daughter Barbara and son-in-law Allan lived.
John was an excellent carpenter and ran a successful construction company for many years before retiring in 1981.
His hobbies included golf and model ship-making and he was an avid gardener who loved his roses.
John will be sorely missed by all his family and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held in his honour on Saturday, June 10, 2006 at 2:00 pm at Victory Memorial Park Funeral Centre, 14831 - 28th Avenue, Surrey.
