Barnet, John Robert. June 14, 1942 - August 6, 2011. "When you were good, you were the best we had." - The Wire. The inimitable John is remembered by his wife Pat, his daughters Megan (with Wendy) and Alexandra (with Pat), sisters Ann, Katherine, Elizabeth, and Jane, a loving extended family, countless friends and co-workers, and the many students he taught during his lifetime. Join us in celebrating John's life on Saturday, August 27th from 2-5pm. This will be a gathering full of wine, food, and (bawdy) anecdotes-the most fitting way to appreciate a man who was loved and respected by many; there will be a toast to John from 3-4pm.
