BROWN, John

John was born on May 17, 1941 in Glasgow Scotland. His untimely death on January 28, 2017 left no opportunity to say goodbye and the grief is overwhelming. John is survived by his wife Rea, his son Ian and many family members and friends; all who carry a special memory of John. John had a successful 36 year career with the Worker’s Compensation Board and in his retirement enjoyed working at Safeway. John had many friends in the community who cared and also enjoyed his love for dogs, Keno and Tim Horton’s. John loved his dogs and could be seen regularly at Dogwood Park or Latimer Lake in Surrey. John loved meeting at ‘the office’ for a coffee, donut and a few games of Keno. John kept himself busy volunteering on the council where he lived, dedicating 22 years to his neighbourhood, neigbours and many friends. He was always available to lend a helping hand, give a word of cheer and known for a joke or two. Blessed are all who honour our loved ones by remembering how they lived rather than how they died. John will be missed by all. A celebration tea to take place at 2pm on February 25, 2017 at La Mesa Clubhouse, 2345 Cranley Drive, Surrey.
