It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Al. He will be greatly missed by Doris, the love of his life, and their four children, Janine Higgins (Ward Coulson), David Mowat (Sandra), Linda Carlyle (Jim), Andrew Mowat (Miriam); by his eleven grandchildren: Liam, Erin, Kiff, Cameron, Lindsay, Noelle, Tiffany, Maribeth, Mikayla, Sarah, Bella and seven great grandchildren.
Al served overseas with the RCAF during WW II, and then earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Queens and Dalhousie. He spent his working career as a merchandise manager at The Hudson's Bay Company. He lived a rich life and explored a variety of interests, most recently becoming a self-taught and prolific painter.
A memorial service will be held at Peninsula United Church, (formerly Crescent United) - 2756 127th St. Surrey BC, on Thursday, August 2 at 3 pm.
