It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of John. Predeceased by his brother Peter. John is survived by his loving wife June, his sons Andrew and Malcolm (Maureen and Taylor), his sister Janet and family, Peter's family, Fiona (Peter) and Susan (Marc and family). John enjoyed family gatherings and will be sadly missed by all of us.
John was born in London, Ontario. Graduating from St. George's school, Vancouver. John decided on a career with the Royal Canadian Navy. After 30 years with the R.C.N. and 12 years with the Department of Defense in Ottawa, John retired and settled in the White rock area. John was a kind and gentle man. He enjoyed his daily morning run, curling at the Peace Arch Curlling Club and lawn bowling at Mann Park.
His family wishes to thank all the medical staff at Evergreen Baptist Campus of Care for their professionalism and kindness to John also to thank the White Rock Surrey Hospice Society for their kind support during his final days.
