VANDERLEUR, John. July 15, 1928 - April 19, 2013. It is with sadness that we announce the passing of John Vanderleur. John was born in Vancouver, son of Jack Vanderleur and Molly Mornington. He was predeceased by his first wife Ann and his son Fred. John is survived by his loving wife Mary; children Mari Anne (Roger) Hussen, Don (Stacy) Vanderleur, Chuck (Shelley) Watkins, and Debbie Snyder; grandchildren Robin (Dewey), James, Tracy (Roben), Jade, Kyle, Kasey, Cody, Tawney (Robert), Keena and Karissa (Sam).


John taught elementary school for over 25 years in Richmond. Following his "retirement" from teaching, he worked with his son Don at Summit RV in Tacoma. After moving back to Canada with Mary, John managed an apartment in White Rock and provided care to an elderly couple, Fi and Tony, until 2012. John had many talents and explored many hobbies over the years. He especially loved the time he spent as a scout leader.


April 30, 1990 – April 15-2013. Grandson Daniel Vanderleur passed suddenly in Tacoma Washington. Daniel was excited to learn the RV business from his father Don, the third generation to work at Summit RV. He loved his family, his truck, UFC, computer games and his dog Ellie May.


A Celebration of Life will be held May 18th at St. Mark Ocean Park at 4 pm. 12953 20th Avenue, Surrey, B.C.
