It is with great sadness the family announce the peaceful passing of a beloved mother and grandmother at Weatherby Pavilion in White Rock, B.C. at the age of 91. Loving wife of 63 years to Ross Hale Daniel who predeceased her in October, 2018.
Josie was survived by her daughter Diane (Greg) and grandson Jared.Josie also leaves behind her two sisters Anne (late Griffith), Betty (Tony) and by her nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She will be dearly missed and will be in our hearts forever.
Josie was born in Vegreville, Alberta and moved to Edmonton in her early twenties. She worked in a glove factory for a while, then with The Bay downtown Edmonton for many years. She hosted many delicious and wonderful family dinners in Edmonton. She would also enjoy playing a game or two of scrabble with family and friends. Josie and Ross moved from Edmonton to South Surrey, B.C. in 2015 to be closer to their daughter and her family.
Our family would like to extend a special thank you to the wonderful doctors, nurses and staff at both Peace Arch Hospital and Weatherby Pavilion for the loving care they provided Josie during her time there. In lieu of flowers please consider donations to Peach Arch Hospital Foundation
A private funeral service will be held at Victory Memorial Park, South Surrey, B.C. Interment will be held at Glenwood Memorial Gardens in
Sherwood Park, Alberta for both Josie and Ross at a later date.
