Kathryn Gay Hough was born to Edward and Emma Fleetwood in Trail, B.C. on June 13, 1941 and passed away peacefully in hospice in Bellingham Washington on January 31, 2020.

Kathryn is survived by her husband Paul, son Greg Bell (Christina), daughters Shannon Higgins (Scott), Cindy Bell.
Stepchildren Brent Hough (Kandis), Terri Hough (Mark) and Paul Hough Jr. Also survived by brother Ted Fleetwood (Kerry), sister Lyn Ball (Kent).
She leaves behind her cherished grandchildren Jackson, Mackenzy, Mercedes and Teddy.
She was an example for us all as she lived her life with courage and optimism. She had won her battle with Leukemia and had been in remission and then was taken from us by the complications arising from a traumatic brain injury caused by a fall 6 months ago.
For many years Maui was her special refuge until 1998 when Paul and Kathryn (Gay) bought their second home in Scottsdale Az. The wonderful friendships made there and at their home in Ocean Park made for a rich and fulfilling life.
There was no one who loved her family, garden, kitchen, home and her many furry friends as much as she did.
Playing bridge was her passion with her lifelong friends, these were some of her happiest times.
She was an elegant woman, charming, beautiful and generous.
In lieu of flowers please donate to the Canadian Blood Services or St. Judes Hospital for children in her honour, as these were two things very near and dear to her heart.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
