Kay peacefully passes away December 24, 2002 at White Rock, B.C. at the age of 76 years. She was a wonderful mother to Kim (Armstrong), grandmother to Jordan, mother-in-law to Brian and friend to many.
Later in her life she took up painting as a hobby. It became a passion and for the last 25 years of her life Kay established herself as an artist of tremendous talent, developing a distinctive style that reflected her passion for life. Her latest art exhibition was held in November. Displaying her latest paintings done in a flurry this past year following a 2 year hiatus. It was a tremendous success as the work reflected her innermost feelings and was called "My Heart Speaks". The show expressed through her paintings, her love of life and the struggle of her own personal battle. Her family is proud of this achievement, knowing she will live on through her art and the rememberance of all who knew her as a loving kind woman.
A private memorial service is planned for early in the new year. No flowers please, but donations to the Surrey Cancer Clinic would be welcomed.
