SLUSARCZYK, Kazimierz E. (Kaz). Nov. 5, 1935 - April 16, 2014. The eldest son of Stanislaw Slusarcyzk and Anna Matusik, Kaz was born and raised in Poland. He came to Canada in 1974, teaching first in Montreal and then in the Jericho Hill School for the Deaf in Vancouver and in the BC Provincial School for the Deaf in Burnaby.
Kaz is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Philomena McCallum. He will be remembered as a kind, gentle, caring man and will be greatly missed. Kaz was a 20 year member of the Vancouver Welsh Men's Choir. Family and friends in Canada and Poland wish to thank the following for their care and kindness: Dr. L. Schuman, Dr. L. Le, the staff of the BC Cancer Agency's Fraser Valley Centre Clinic, and the Staff of the White Rock Home Health Care Unit.
A private service was held on April 24, 2014. Memorial donations may be made to the BC Cancer Foundation or the Peace Arch Hospital Foundation.
