In loving memory ~

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Kelly Jones of South Surrey, BC.

Predeceased by his father Bob Jones (Johanna), his mother Mary Macleod (Jack Carter) and his brother Michael. He is survived by his longtime partner Donna (stepson Todd), brothers Kevin (Sandy), and Kirk (Linda), his Aunt Joan and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Kelly was born in Saskatoon, he also spent his early years in Alberta and Victoria. He loved sports, he excelled at basketball and soccer and also had a love for lacrosse and rugby. He learned to golf at a young age and was always ready for a competitive game with his friends.

Kelly graduated from UVic as an optician, but decided the outdoor life was more for him, he started a logging career where he drove the off-highway logging trucks down the steep coastal mountain logging roads. In his later years he became an interior/exterior painter and his many clients were treated to an excellent job along with Kelly's special Irish humor.

Kelly had a wonderful smile and his laughter literally lit up any room. He loved spending time in his local pub where he enjoyed the companionship of his many friends. Kelly also loved salmon fishing with his brother Kevin and good friend Ray.

Kelly spent his final days at Melville Place Hospice under the care of the dedicated staff and volunteers.

"Slainte Kelly" - you are very much loved and deeply missed.

May the road rise up to meet you, may the wind be always at your back, may the sunshine warm upon your face-until we meet again.
