Ken Betts

June 28, 1949 - December 31, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ken Betts, who left this world on December 31, 2024 at The Residence at Morgan Heights, surrounded by his loving family. Born on June 28, 1949 in Montreal, Quebec, Ken cherished his roots and carried the warmth of his upbringing throughout his life.

Ken was a beloved husband, devoted father, and cherished Grampie. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Peggy (née Flanagan), with whom he shared a deep passion for sailing, exploring the world through travel together and creating lasting memories.

He leaves behind his two adoring sons, Alex (Kaylee) and Spencer (Shasha), along with his treasured grandchildren, Riley and Tyler, who brought him immeasurable joy. In addition to his immediate family, Ken is survived by his dear Aunt Jean Cassidy, brother Rob and beloved nephews Marty (Sonya) and Colin (Hilary).

A successful banker, Ken was known for paving the way in achieving a harmonious work-life balance, inspiring those around him. He was a passionate skier, finding joy and freedom on the slopes, and enjoyed sharing that love with family and friends.

As a dedicated member of the Semiahmoo Rotary Club for many years, Ken embraced community service and made lasting connections that enriched his life. As we remember Ken, we celebrate a man who brought laughter through his storytelling, love through his actions, wisdom through his guidance, and music into the hearts of all who knew him. He will forever be missed and cherished in our hearts.

In honor of his memory, let us carry forward his spirit of kindness and devotion to family.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday January 17, 2025 from 2-4 p.m. at Morgan Creek Golf Course. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson's Society or a charity of your choice.
