Kenneth Donald Gratton

Kenneth Donald Gratton passed away on July 23, 2003 in White Rock, B.C. in his 76th year. He will be missed by his loving and caring wife, Susan; his sister, Joyce; niece, Sharon; Ben Finlayson, John Gumart; his many sisters-in-law, including Kathie, June and Ad; as well as numerous other family members and dear friends, especially those at the Monterery and the Scotland family.

Ken was a descendant of Grattan O'Leary, an Irish rights activist who was buried at Westminster Abbey in London. He served with the Canadian Technical Training Corps. and was also a long time member of the Royal Canadian Legion (44 years). Ken enjoyed the beauty of wildlife and nature, the company of pets, particularly cats and dogs and in his healthier years, fishing.

The family would like to thank the attending physicians, Dr.'s Noble and Turner and the nurses of Peace Arch Hospital, as well as grateful thanks to Ken's doctor for the past 15 years, Jeff Purkis and his associates.

At Ken's request, no service will be held. Flowers are gratefully declined, if desired, donations in his memory may be made to the B.C. Lung Association or the Peace Arch Hospital Foundation.
