In loving memory ~
It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to an amazing man, husband, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend.
Ken was born in Sexsmith, Alberta and later moved as a young boy to White Rock, BC. There he grew up alongside his older twin sisters Marj and Irene, and his younger brother Earl. He met Blanche in high school and they married in 1954. There they raised their family until they eventually retired to Kaleden, BC.
Ken's favourite pastimes revolved around art; he was an outstanding cartoonist and pen and ink sketcher and excelled as a woodworker and craftsman.
He loved his family and friends. He loved camping and anyone who showed an interest in drawing. He had an outlandish sense of humour and he was always positive and kind to everyone he met.
Ken suffered from Alzheimer's for many years before he succumbed to the disease two weeks short of his 90th birthday.
Ken lost his wife Blanche in March 2019. He is survived by his daughters Lori, Sandi (Brian), Leslie (Cris), and Jean (Dan), grandchildren Chad, Shae (Kyle), Kirsten, Darien (Lisa), Julie (Orandy), Ali (Jeff), Travis, and many great-grandchildren Ara, Jaime, Kensie, Brantley, Lucy, Kofi, and Jack. He is also survived by his son Ken Jr. and his brother Earl, as well as many special nieces and nephews.
Thank you to all of the wonderful staff at Village By the Station.
