Kenneth passed away at Langley Memorial Hospital on November 3, 2003 at the age of 65. Ken, dear husband to surviving wife, Helen Margaret (nee Needham) was a loving father to his two children, Amber and Glen, and a wonderful grandfather to his little granddaughter, Kyrri, of Rossland, B.C.
Born in Hamilton, Ontario, Ken was best known and loved for his great sense of humour, take on life and fine, dancing style. As a young man, Ken was president of Delta High school where he managed to get a juke box in the cafeteria, thereby fulfilling his election promise. He was active in the Sea Cadets and later attended both Royal Roads and Queens University.
Ken is predeceased by his parents, Ken and Jemima Hayes, also of Hamilton, Ontario. He will be missed by his brother, Frank and Carol, of Dundas, Ontario, his eldest sister, Joyce, and brother-in-law, Jim McIsaac of Abbotsford, B.C., his youngest sister, Francessa Hayes of Burlington, mother-in-law Margaret Needham, many nieces and nephews and countless friends.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, November 15th at 1:30 p.m. at the Elgin Hall, 14250 Crescent Rd., White Rock, B.C.
