Kenneth William Bennett, age 94, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2020, while living in residence at Evergreen Baptist Housing in White Rock, BC.
Predeceased by his wife, Eileen and former wife Beth. He is survived by his children, Graeme (Laura), Kevin (Susan) and Linda (Frank) and by his grandchildren, Emma, Arin, Colin, Sam and Piper.
Ken was born in Manchester England on May 11th, 1926. After losing his mother at age 10, Ken travelled to Canada as part of the British Home Children program and was raised at the Fairbridge Farm School for Children near Cowichan, BC.
Ken served in the Canadian Merchant Navy as a radio operator during the Second World War. Settling in Vancouver, BC, Ken then worked for BC Tel, where he stayed until his retirement in 1982.
Ken will be remembered for his gentle nature, positive spirit, wit and easy laugh. He will be missed by his family and by all who knew him.
