December 24, 1913. Mom moved to Surrey at the age of 3, and grew up in the Hazelmere Valley. She attended Halls Prairie School and Cloverdale High School. She met her then future husband Henry Murphy in the early 30's. They were married on December 30, 1936 and built a home in Cloverdale. She resided in the Cloverdale family home until 2004 when she relocated to White Rock. With four active children Mom developed a great interest in amateur sports and sat through many soccer, softball, football, curling and basketball games. Mom was a member of the Fraser Valley Quilters and the Quiltaholics for many years and her love of quilting showed in the many quilts she made for family and friends. Love, family, cooking and gardening were her most cherished activities.

Mom will be deeply missed by all of her family and friends. Her memory will live forever in our hearts. Rest in peace Mom, we love you.

The family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date.
