It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Lawrence "Larry" Gerald Fagan, of White Rock. He was deeply loved and will be missed by Anne, his wife of 51 years. He was the cherished father of James (Kelly), Timothy (Karen), Kate (Paul), Mary (Javier), Anney (Mark), and Patrick. He was the beloved grandfather to Emily, Daniel, Erin, Matthew, Anna, Sophia, Kenneth, and Lucy. He will also be missed by his many friends and relatives in Canada and the United States.

Larry was born in Vancouver, B.C., the ninth of twelve children. His family moved to Southern California when he was young. He was a graduate of Loyola University, Los Angeles, and held a Masters in Industrial Relations from the University of Southern California and a Doctorate in Health Care Administration.

Larry truly lived his life as a man for others. He served in the U.S. Army, then had a distinguished career in public administration with the State of New York and the Province of British Columbia. He later served as chief executive of a nursing facility in Port Coquitlam. Larry is also well remembered for his organic raspberry farm on 24thAvenue in South Surrey. He volunteered his time extensively, including sixty years with the Legion of Mary and other Catholic charities, as well as, in recent winters, tutoring in a California school for children of migrant workers. After retirement, Larry's passions were gardening, sailing, painting, travel and telling corny jokes to his grandchildren.

Prayer service is January 23rd at 7 PM at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 2250 150th Street in Surrey.

Funeral Mass and reception to be held on January 24th at 11:30 AM at Good Shepherd Catholic Church at 2250 150th Street in Surrey.

The Fagan Family wishes to express their thanks for the wonderful and compassionate care provided by the medical staff at Peace Arch Hospital and Hospice.
