DOYLE, LEONARD FRANCIS
December 14, 1931 - May 17, 2008, passed away peacefully after a long and courageous battle with lung cancer. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his kids Chris (Julie), Paul, and Suzanne (James); grandchildren Joshua, Zachery, Isaiah, Hana, Alexa and Trey; sisters Marie and Noel, and brothers Bernie and Jimmy. Len predeceased by his brother Ray. Born and raised in New Westminster, Lenny was well known for his sense of humour, and love of fishing and woodworking. He lived in Crescent Beach for many years and was involved with the Crescent Beach Swimming Club and the Crescent Beach Marina. He was a very kind and generous Dad and friend, and was able to fix almost anything. He worked at Royal City Foods in New West., and then Western Cable which became part of Rogers. He survived a massive stroke nearly 20 years ago and overcame many obstacles to eventually go back to work and take on numerous woodworking projects. Many thanks to Dr. Jasas at the Surrey Cancer Clinic and Dr. Jeffrey Purkis in White Rock, who treated Len like his own father. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday May 26 at 1:30 P.M. at Star of the Sea Church, 1153 Fir, White Rock, followed by a Celebration of Life "reception" at Camp Alexandra , 2916 McBride Avenue, Crescent Beach at 3:00 P.M.
