March 2, 2019
It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Leroy Carrol Geiger in White Rock, B.C. on March 2nd 2019.

He is survived by his two children Jeremy Geiger and Michael Geiger, his Grandson Elio Geiger, Daughter-in-law's Kristen Geiger and Narumon Arunvaranont, and many travelling partners, chess challengers, music lovers, cycling buddies, audiophiles, and photography connoisseurs across the globe.

An avid biker, Leroy built an extraordinary career as a grade 7 teacher at Crescent Park Elementary where he was known for inspiring student's beyond standard curriculum, with passionate introductions to many of his joys such as opera, theatre, classical music and Greek literature.

Leroy's love of music was the backdrop for many of his life adventures, including biking excursions to Europe, family road trips across America, and his solo adventure through Asia where he took residence in Thailand; a place he spent many years exploring and photographing with the loving support of his son Jeremy and daughter-in-law Narumon.

An unapologetic original; Leroy's wit, charismas, adventurous spirit, and individuality will be a hole felt by all who knew him.

A celebration of Life will be held Saturday March 9th at the Peninsula Retirement Residents: 2088 152 St, Surrey, BC. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra would be greatly appreciated to help others enjoy the music that brought such joy to Leroy's life.
