Leslie H. Berg

March 18, 2006

Passed away peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior in his home with his wife and family by his side on March 18, 2006 at the age of 81 after a long battle with emphysema and COPD.

He is survived by his wife Grace of 54 years of marriage, one son Gerry, two daughters Karen (Ray) Bouillet, Linda (Marlon) Carlson and 4 grandchildren, Jennifer (Trevor) Velenoweth, Joey, Diana, and Maclean and one great granddaughter Kaylee.

Les was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on July 20, 1924.

He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Navy where he served during World War II from 1942-1945.

He worked as a machinist for CP Railway and then as a tool and dye maker in the Weston Shops in Winnipeg.

In 1957 he worked as a foreman for Visking Ltd. which later became Union Carbide.

In 1978 he worked for Faith Christian Books and managed the Music Cupboard in Vancouver, until he retired in December of 1983.

He then was able to enjoy more time with his wife and family and especially his grandchildren and celebrate special occasions like their 50th Wedding Anniversary and their 80th birthdays.

The family would like to say a very special "Thankyou" to Dr. Michael Bassett for the compassionate care that he provided through this difficult time.
